Ha-seong’s take on the E 15mm F1.4 G

Although it’s a really light APS-C lens, I was impressed with its sharpness and brightness, which makes it comparable to full-frame lenses.”

For a content creator who’s always on the go, Ha-seong enjoys shooting with the compact and lightweight E 15mm F1.4 G, which enables him to capture detailed close-ups of cafe treats with creamy background bokeh. This is possible thanks to the E 15mm F1.4 G’s 0.15x maximum magnification, which makes everything look all the more mouthwatering and aesthetically pleasing.

3 Reel Questions

What are some things to keep in mind when making reels?

Unlike your usual 1080p video, reels are shot vertically and usually run for a minute or less. I set my camera timer to 30 seconds to keep within the time limit. You should also take note of the areas of your reel hidden behind your caption. Always plan the scene before filming it to avoid having parts of your frame hidden away. I recommend shooting as many close-ups or B-rolls as possible, as these scenes may make for an unexpectedly good reel.

How do you create a reel that captures the eyes of your viewers?

I shoot from various angles or zoom in and out to capture my audience’s attention. When telling a visual story, it’s crucial to have a flow that connects scenes. Also, a well-selected thumbnail never fails to grab the attention of your viewers.

Words of encouragement

As a content creator, Ha-seong is a big advocate of seeking inspiration from others. “It's important to take a lot of videos, but you should also watch other people's creations often and try things you haven't attempted before.”
