Imaging Edge

The Imaging Edge software suite is built around three core applications, “Viewer”, “Edit”, and “Remote”. It streamlines the creative workflow of photographers and enables them to unleash the full potential of their photographs.

At a glance, the software allows you to adjust and develop RAW-format images on the computer, and shoot images remotely from the computer when it is connected to the camera (remote shooting).

Here’s what each of the different applications do:

  • Viewer: browse, search, and filter images
  • Edit: Adjust brightness and colour, crop, apply creative styles to images and convert adjusted images to TIFF or JPEG formats
  • Remote: Shoot images with your camera connected to your computer via USB

Imaging Edge is compatible with Windows and Mac.

Digital workflow

Starting off with remote shooting, you’re able to make adjustments to shooting controls while checking your image on a larger computer screen, streamlining it to make it easier for the model/client to check on the photos so you can concentrate on purely shooting. You can control guides, grids, and other overlay functions to make more precise adjustments to the composition of your images.

The Viewer tab is your standard image selector that allows you to preview your shots and select shots you want to edit. It also includes grids and guides to help you check your shooting images. The selections applied in Viewer can also be converted to XMP Adobe compatible format which you can then transfer to both Adobe Bridge and Photoshop.

The last step in your workflow is to edit your images and you can adjust the brightness, white balance, sharpness, noise reduction and other adjustments. You can even create your own workflow for a particular shoot method.

The set of controls in this software is also tailored to help you make more in-camera adjustments, helping you to make the cleanest and sharpest images possible.

The software also has the ability to connect to other post-production software other than the above mentioned Adobe software, Lightroom Classics CC, and Capture One 10.
